Rosemary Gin Fizz Cocktail Recipe with Mocktail Option

2tablespoonslemon juiceor lime juice
12ouncessparkling waterplain, lemon, or lime
ice for the shaker and two glassesice for glasses is optional

Instructions
Make the rosemary syrup: In a small pot on the stove, combine the maple syrup, water, and one rosemary sprig and bring to a boil. Boil for 90 seconds, then remove from heat and allow to cool a couple minutes.
With ice in your shaker, add the gin, citrus juice, and rosemary syrup and shake vigorously.
Add ice to two glasses (if using), then strain from the shaker equally into each glass. Top each with sparkling water and garnish with a lemon peel and a rosemary sprig.
Notes
How to muddle: Muddling just means to press the ingredient, in this case rosemary, against the side of its container, in this case a pot on the stove. This helps release the flavor.How to peel a lemon: Use a regular peeler, like you’d use for carrots or potatoes, to peel a chunk off of a lemon or lime. It peels easily! Any size of lemon peel is fine.
