Ingredients
1cupblueberriesfresh or thawed frozen
¼cuplime juicefresh, ~ 2 limes
4sliceslime~½ lime (optional)
3tablespoonsmaple syrupor 4, to taste
¼cupmint leaves+ 4 mint sprigs
4cupsice
4cups sparkling waterplain or citrus
3shakesbittersper glass (optional)
Instructions
Gather and wash your ingredients. Set aside a sprig of mint for each glass and the mint leaves
Squeeze the limes to extract the juice and slice four rounds of lime.
In a large liquid measuring cup or other bowl with a spout, muddle/mash the blueberries with a few of the mint leaves. Then, stir in the lime juice and maple syrup.
Add ice to four 16-oz glasses. Pour the blueberry mixture evenly among them.
Divide the remaining mint leaves and mint sprigs between the four glasses. Add a slice of lime to each glass, then pour in the sparkling water.
Garnish with a few blueberries in each glass. Sprinkle bitters into each glass, if using. Stir if desired.
